The Open Mic is a year-round event, on every First Friday.

We have a special treat for you for the August 1st Open Mic!

The Theatre of Eternal Values will be performing for us as our headliner. They are touring fairs, festivals and town-squares across NY, Boston and D.C. with a 15-minute interactive theatre performance that asks - how do we survive the storms of life and find the shores of inner peace?  Loosely based on scenes from Shakespeare’s The Tempest, this vibrant, playful show combines clowning, sea-shanties, giant puppets, trumpets, dance and moments of meditation to create a unique theatrical experience that celebrates community and joy.

Lyd x Nour’s On the Road Tour

Live Music & Dance Party

Friday, August 8th, 7pm
Old School Cafe, 2 Genesee St, Cherry Valley

You're invited!!
Join us for an evening of "artists in the round" comprised of visiting and local musicians that builds into a group jam session and spills into a magnificent night of dancing!

We'll start the BPM slow and built it up through the night. Lyd Marie is a brilliant song writer and Nour Jamil spins Disco, House, Elektro Arab, and more. Together this dynamic duo takes over Cherry Valley for a night on their tour!

Ticket pricing ($20) goes towards the venue, paying our traveling artists, and fundraising for the Kanatsiohareke Mohawk Community in Fonda who are in need of community infrastructure to host events more comfortably.

This event is NOTAFLOF (No One Turned Away For Lack of Funds) and we also accept additional donations for the causes listed!

Lyd Marie is a New York based songwriter and a member of the world folk group Ley Line. Her solo project finds inspiration in the soulful groove of Sade and the raw and honest lyricism of Carole King and Joni Mitchell.
